Frequently asked
Questions, quietly answered.
The things readers most often ask us before commissioning their first book. If yours isn't here, write to us — we answer every letter.
The work
Because the surprise is the gift. Showing you a preview turns the studio into a piece of software you operate, and the book into a thing you simply approve. We would rather you experience it the way you would a piece of art commissioned from a real person — with trust on the front end and astonishment on the back.
A single designer from our Ahmedabad studio holds your commission from start to finish. They read your story, sequence your photographs, set the spreads, and personally approve the final printed copy. No teams, no handoffs, no automation.
We have not had a book returned yet, but if yours is the first, we will quietly rework it once at no extra cost. Your designer will WhatsApp you, understand what felt off, and begin again.
Photographs & privacy
They are uploaded over an encrypted connection, stored privately on Indian servers while your book is being made, and permanently deleted from our systems within seven days of your parcel reaching you. We never use them for marketing, never post them, never use them to train anything.
Send everything from the trip. Don't pre-edit, don't curate. A messy camera roll tells us more about the actual rhythm of your journey than a tidy selection ever could.
Of course. Most of our books are made entirely from phone photos — iPhone, Pixel, OnePlus, anything. We print at archival quality regardless.
Delivery, payment & care
Usually 12 to 16 days from the moment you finish the commission — including delivery to your door anywhere in India. Sometimes a little less, occasionally a little more — we will WhatsApp you if a book needs more time.
Yes, free and tracked, anywhere in India — from Mumbai and Delhi to Coorg, Shillong, Pondicherry or a small town in Rajasthan. Metro cities usually receive in 2–3 days once the book is bound. We currently do not ship internationally.
Securely through Razorpay — UPI, credit and debit cards, netbanking and wallets. A single charge, no recurring fees. GST is included in the price you see.
Out of direct sunlight, away from monsoon damp, on a shelf where you can reach it. The materials are archival — with normal care it will outlive most of your other belongings.
