Terms of commission.
The quiet understanding between you and Stacked Stone when you commission a book. Written plainly. Written honestly.
A commission, not a purchase
When you complete a Stacked Stone commission, you are entrusting our studio with the time, care and creative judgement required to make one book. You are not buying a stock product. We accept commissions in good faith and complete them with the same.
Price and payment
Each edition has a single, transparent price in INR, inclusive of GST. Payment is taken once via Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking or wallets) at the moment you complete the commission. We do not charge subscriptions, store your payment details, or apply any surcharges. Free tracked delivery anywhere in India is included.
Timeline
We aim to deliver every book within 12 to 16 days of commission, including transit. If a book needs more time, your designer will WhatsApp you personally with an honest update. We will never silently miss a deadline.
Creative ownership
You retain full copyright of every photograph and word you share with our studio. The design, sequencing and typography of the finished book remain the intellectual property of Stacked Stone.
Changes and rework
Because every book is handmade against a personal brief, we cannot accept changes once your commission has begun. If the finished book does not feel right to you, message us within fourteen days of delivery — your designer will quietly rework it once at no cost.
Care of materials
Our books are made from archival materials and built to last decades. Damage from misuse, water, monsoon damp, direct sunlight or extreme conditions is not covered by our rework policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved first through direct conversation with our founder — formal proceedings, subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, are a last resort we have never reached.
